Remodeling – Demo Day

As I stated in my last blog, the exterior – minus landscaping- looks great, but the interior was just beginning.  While the house was being painted, Michael and Lisa organized a “demo day”.  The tile floors in the entry and kitchen area, along with some laminate flooring, and all the carpeting needed to be removed.  Also the toilets, and master shower needed to go! Plus assorted junk the previous homeowners left behind.

Michael rented a large dumpster, and the fun began!  Of course Michael started the demo process immediately, but the big demo Saturday was a time to call in the troops.  Everyone available chipped in to help- parents, siblings, in – laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, family – family, “Did I say Family!”

It was a grueling day, but full of promise!  I wasn’t strong enough to remove tile, so I worked upstairs, on my hands and knees, remove old carpet staples.  Not fun at all, hard on my knees and back, but at least I felt productive.  Below are some pics from that day.
